Rotary Club of Kelowna Sunrise has been established since 1986. Since that time, we have been quietly serving our local and international community. No fuss, no muss...just there helping as much as we can!
This website has been created to let you, the general public, know all about who we are and what we do. If you are located locally in Kelowna or surrounding areas, we also encourage you to join us so that you too may contribute to our humanitarian efforts to help both the people of Kelowna and many people around the globe.
Rotary International is a global service club which began in Chicago, Illinois, on February 23, 1905. It has since grown into a worldwide organization with more than 1.2 million members in over 33,000 clubs worldwide.
Our official club name is Rotary Club of Kelowna Sunrise, also referred to as Kelowna Sunrise Rotary. Located in Kelowna, British Columbia, we are proud to support our local community as well as many worthwhile causes around the world. We are a vibrant club whose members participate in a variety of events throughout the year
- weekly breakfast meetings on Friday mornings at 7:00am at the Kelowna Yacht Club, where we partake of a hearty breakfast, listen to a variety of speakers, conduct club business, as well as enjoy the wit and wisdom of the weekly participants.
- a variety of social gatherings throughout the year, including "Guess Who's Coming to Dinner" enjoyable evenings where members are encouraged to get to know one another in a more relaxed atmosphere at an individual member's home.
- our main fundraising effort is a yearly auction where we aim to raise a large amount of money to fund our various charitable causes
- various community events where we offer our presence in order to share our community spirit.

Although Rotary is well-known around the world for its service to the international community, Kelowna Sunrise Rotary members also give a lot to our local Kelowna community, both in the form of donations supporting various worthy causes, as well as volunteer manpower at a variety of local events.
We also rely heavily on our local community to help us make a difference. Every year, Kelowna Sunrise Rotary donates vast sums of money to help many different causes, both local and international, which we collect from our members as well as from the community at large.
